Cisco certifications
Every Cisco certification we cover, mapped to its official exam guide — revision notes, explained practice questions and full-length timed mock exams. Certifications marked "coming soon" have their official blueprint published while their study content is in production.
Every Cisco certification at a glance
The exams we cover for Cisco, with the figures each certification publishes. Levels are guidance rather than gates — Cisco sets no prerequisites, so you can book any of these directly.
| Certification | Level | Exam | Pass mark | Fee | Valid for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| CCNA — CCNA | Associate | 120 min | Pass / fail | $300 | 3 years |
Compare these with every other exam we cover, including recent and upcoming exam changes.
Where to start with Cisco
Cisco publishes no foundational exam in the set we cover, so Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA 200-301 v2.0) is the entry point. It assumes hands-on experience rather than theory, so give yourself real time with the platform before booking.
Pair it with hands-on work rather than a second certification: what you have actually built carries an interview further than a second credential does.
How Cisco certifications are renewed
Renewal is the cost people forget, and it varies more between vendors than the exam fees do.
Cisco certifications such as the CCNA are active for three years. You recertify before they expire by passing qualifying exams, earning Cisco Continuing Education credits, or a combination of the two.
Cisco lists its exam prices in US dollars before tax, and you can also pay with Cisco Learning Credits. Check the exam page for the current price. See Cisco Systems, Inc.’s own certification page for the current terms.
