Every deck, and how big it is
There are 30 decks covering 455 cards in total. A deck carries one card per published lesson, so its size tracks how much of that exam's syllabus is written up — and it grows as the notes do.

How to actually use a deck
Flashcards work because retrieving a fact is a different, harder act than recognising it — and the harder act is the one that builds durable memory. Re-reading a lesson feels productive and mostly is not; failing to recall a card, then seeing the answer, is what moves it into long-term storage.
Answer out loud before you flip
Commit to an answer, silently or aloud, before turning the card. Flipping early converts the exercise back into re-reading — you will recognise the answer, feel confident, and learn nothing. The discomfort of not quite remembering is the part that works.
Sort into three piles, not two
Knew it, nearly had it, no idea. The middle pile is the valuable one: those are the facts that will desert you under time pressure on a paper you are already nervous about. Drill that pile, not the one you keep getting right.
Short and often beats long and rare
Ten minutes most days will do more than two hours on a Sunday. Spacing repetitions across days is the single largest effect in the memory literature, and it is free — it costs only scheduling.
Shuffle before every pass
Working a deck in the same order teaches you the order. Cards start cueing each other, recall gets easier, and none of that transfers to an exam that presents topics at random.
Stop when recall is not the problem
Flashcards train recognition and recall. They cannot train judgement, and these exams are mostly judgement — which option best satisfies a stated constraint. Once a deck is comfortable, the marginal hour belongs to practice questions, not more flipping.
Cards, questions or notes?
The three study surfaces here train different things, and using the wrong one for where you are is the most common way to feel busy without getting closer to a pass.
| Surface | What it trains | When it is the right tool |
|---|---|---|
| Revision notes | Understanding | First pass through a domain, and whenever a wrong answer turns out to be a gap rather than a slip. |
| Flashcards | Recall and recognition | Keeping a domain warm after you have read it, and in short daily sessions once revision is underway. |
| Practice questions | Judgement under constraint | Once you recognise the services — the exam is mostly about choosing between options that all work. |
| Mock exams | Pacing and stamina | Before booking, to find out whether you can sustain it for the full paper rather than for ten questions. |
