Every attempt draws questions you haven't met yet first · Pro.
A full-length paper drawn to the same domain weights, from the questions we rate hardest — the ones that combine two facts or weigh workable options against each other.
One exam domain at the real exam's pace — for the domain your last mock went worst in.
What's in a CDL mock paper
Each paper draws its questions per domain in the same proportions Google Cloud publishes for the real CDL — so a mock that goes badly in one domain is telling you something a randomly-drawn quiz couldn't.
| Domain | Official weight | Questions drawn | Share of paper |
|---|---|---|---|
| Digital Transformation with Google Cloud | 18% | 10 | 18% |
| Exploring Data Transformation with Google Cloud | 18% | 10 | 18% |
| Innovating with Google Cloud Artificial Intelligence | 18% | 10 | 18% |
| Modernize Infrastructure and Applications with Google Cloud | 18% | 10 | 18% |
| Trust and Security with Google Cloud | 18% | 10 | 18% |
| Scaling with Google Cloud Operations | 10% | 5 | 9% |
| Total | 100% | 55 | 100% |
What a CDL paper is shaped like
Which way this particular paper applies pressure.
The clock
At roughly 1.6 minutes a question, the pacing is comfortable but not generous. You can afford to think on a hard question, and you cannot afford to do it twice. Most candidates finish with time for a second pass if they keep the first pass moving.
The weighting
The weighting is unusually flat — 6 domains with no single one dominating, the largest being Digital Transformation with Google Cloud at 18%. Nothing can be safely skipped, and there is no high-weight domain to carry a gap. Breadth beats depth on this paper.
The standard
Google Cloud publishes no pass mark for the CDL: results are reported as pass or fail. Our mocks score you on the 100–1000 scale with a line at 700, which is our yardstick, not the vendor's. Treat a result just over it as a fail in disguise and book only with a clear margin.

What trips people up on a Cloud Digital Leader mock
Almost every item is a short business scenario: an organisation, a goal and a constraint, then a question about which Google Cloud approach or product fits. The exam never asks you to configure anything, so the deciding detail is the business need in the stem, such as speed to market, cost predictability, compliance or reduced operational effort. If you keep missing items you understood technically, reread the goal sentence. The right answer serves that goal, not the most capable product.
Five of the six sections carry roughly equal weight, so there is no single domain to lean on. A mock score that is fine overall can still hide one section well behind the others, and on a pass/fail exam with no score report that is the gap you will not see on the day. Compare your per-domain figures across attempts and close the weakest section before booking.
The current guide was rewritten in 2026, and AI now runs through the whole paper, not only its own section: agents, Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and AI Hypercomputer appear alongside data and infrastructure questions. Several products were also renamed, for example Vertex AI to Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, Dataproc to Managed Service for Apache Spark and Cloud Functions to Cloud Run functions. Older courses and dumps use the old names and miss the new topics, so a miss on a product you have never heard of is usually a resource gap, not a hard question.
Product-positioning pairs cause most avoidable misses: BigQuery versus Cloud SQL versus Spanner, Cloud Run versus GKE versus Compute Engine, Looker versus Looker Studio, and Security Command Center versus Google Security Operations. The exam tests which one a business would choose and why, in one or two sentences. A short table of "use this when…" for each pair fixes more mock errors than rereading whole lessons.
Some items are "select TWO". They are easy to rush, because each correct option usually answers a different part of the stem. Read the stem for its two separate needs and check each option against one of them, rather than looking for the two options that sound most alike.
